Medical Records

Link 51 has a wealth of experience in the design of systems which provide access to all kind of stored information, from conventional filed medical records, through to periodicals & reference books in the office or library.

With the development of information technology, information is regularly gathered, processed and created electronically. However when it comes to communicating this information paper remains the preferred medium. Although the paperless society remains a ‘Holy Grail’ the management of paper documentation in all forms is a challenge to most healthcare organisations today. For some it may be treated as an inconvenience and all too easily neglected. To others the efficient storage and retrieval of paper documents on a regular basis is not only vital to daily procedures, but often a legal necessity. More storage space - better managed information storage

Efficient storage means efficient retrieval. That’s why every Link 51 storage solution is designed to offer optimum access while maximising available space.

With the need to file and consult high volumes of patient and medical records on a regular basis, the healthcare profession presents a unique storage challenge; one which Link 51 is meeting at hospitals and healthcare establishments through out the UK, with a wide range of products and systems, all designed to facilitate storage and retrieval of important documents.

A range of both mobile and static shelving systems offer the versatility to create storage facilities tailored to specific needs, particularly in situations where space is at a premium.

BIoCote

BioCote is a unique patent protected silver based anti-microbial coating applied to Link 51 products that inhibits the growth of micro-organisms - some potentially lethal - on surfaces. It is an additive which is applied at the painting stage and lasts the life of the painted surface.

This reduces the risk of cross-contamination from surfaces with high contact frequency. Although this is no substitute for correct cleaning practices, the incorporation of BioCote into the manufacturing process provides users of our products with peace of mind that every effort is being made to maintain a hygienic working environment.

BioCote is effective against a wide range of bacteria and fungi. Examples of bacteria tested against include Aspergillus niger (Black Mould), Streptococcus faecalis, Salmonella enteritidis, Straphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Escherichia coli 0157 and Listeria monocytogenes. BioCote does not function in the same way as antibiotics and therefore, to date, no bacteria have become resistant to BioCote as they have to some antibiotics.
